Podcasting and Journalism
Amplifying Youth Voice Through Podcasting and Journalism
The Podcasting & Journalism Program empowers young people to strengthen their voices through storytelling, reporting, and media creation. The program supports literacy development by engaging students in reading, research, writing, scripting, and verbal communication while producing meaningful, real-world content.
Students explore journalism through both guided classroom instruction and community-centered reporting experiences, learning how stories are shaped, questions are asked, and voices are amplified. Participants take on active production roles during recording and filming, building confidence, responsibility, and professionalism as they work with industry tools.
